The rules of the road

1. Who can use Adorbis

To use Adorbis, you must:

• Be at least 16 years old
• Have the legal authority to enter into this agreement (or be acting on behalf of an organization that does)
• Provide accurate registration information
• Not be barred from using the service under applicable law (sanctions, export controls, etc.)

2. Your account

Account creation

You create an account by signing up at ai.adorbistech.com. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

API keys

API keys issued by Adorbis are tied to your account. You agree to:

• Treat your API keys as confidential — like passwords
• Not share keys publicly (e.g., in code commits, screenshots, or forums)
• Revoke compromised keys immediately via your dashboard
• Be financially responsible for all usage tied to your keys, even if accidentally leaked

One account per person

You may create multiple projects within one account, but you may not maintain multiple accounts to circumvent rate limits or free-tier quotas.

3. The service

Adorbis is an AI gateway that intelligently routes your requests to the most appropriate AI model based on the task. We provide:

• Automatic model routing across local and cloud-hosted models
• API key management with scoped access and revocation
• Usage analytics and decision traces
• A web dashboard for managing your account

4. Plans and billing

Free plan

The Free plan includes a monthly quota of requests at no cost. We reserve the right to change Free plan limits with 30 days' notice.

Paid plans

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Cancellation

You may cancel your paid subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial months.

Refunds

Charges are non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact billing@adorbistech.com within 30 days.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry the charge. If payment cannot be collected, we may suspend or downgrade your account.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Adorbis to:

• Generate or distribute illegal content
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Generate child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content sexualizing minors
• Generate non-consensual intimate imagery
• Create malware, viruses, or other malicious code
• Conduct phishing, fraud, or other deceptive practices
• Generate content designed to incite violence, terrorism, or hatred against protected groups
• Generate medical, legal, or financial advice presented as professional advice
• Impersonate real people without consent or for deceptive purposes
• Generate disinformation intended to interfere with elections
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our routing logic or models
• Resell access to our API as your own service without explicit written permission
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, quotas, or billing
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without permission

Third-party model provider rules

When you use cloud-hosted models (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, etc.), you must also comply with those providers' usage policies:

6. Your content

You retain all rights to the content you submit (your prompts) and the content you receive (model responses). We don't claim ownership.

You grant us a limited license to process your content for the sole purpose of routing your requests and delivering responses to you.

We do not use your content to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Our intellectual property

Adorbis, the Adorbis name, logo, dashboard, documentation, and all related intellectual property are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission, except as expressly permitted by these Terms.

8. Privacy

Our handling of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Service changes

We may change, add, or remove features at any time. For material changes that reduce functionality you depend on, we will give at least 30 days' notice via email.

We may also suspend or discontinue the service entirely. If we discontinue, we will give at least 60 days' notice and provide tools to export your data.

10. Termination

By you

You may close your account at any time from your dashboard. Closing your account will:

• Cancel any active paid subscription at the end of the current billing period
• Revoke all your API keys immediately
• Delete your data within 30 days

By us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use rules
• Fail to pay charges when due
• Engage in activity that threatens the security or integrity of the service
• Provide false information at signup

Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to cure before terminating.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Adorbis shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Adorbis shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or USD 100 if you have not paid us anything).

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Adorbis harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights
• Content you submit to or generate through the service

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Adorbis is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

For any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Adorbis, both parties agree to first attempt good-faith resolution by contacting legal@adorbistech.com. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 60 days, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration where permitted by law, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Adorbis after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using Adorbis and may close your account.

16. Miscellaneous

• Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Adorbis.
• Severability: If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• No waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.
• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
• Force majeure: Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond their reasonable control.
